Scenic Jeep Tour and Durango Silverton Train Ride

Enjoy a day experiencing the beauty of the Weminuche National Forest on the Durango Silverton Railroad and a backcountry jeep tour.
This one-day activity package starts with a scenic ride on the Million Dollar Highway to the historic old mining town of Silverton. In Silverton you will transfer to jeeps to explore ghost towns and old silver mines at an altitude of up to 13,000 feet. Learn the history of the area; discover cascading rivers, waterfalls and native wildflowers.
When you return to Silverton you will have a little time to take in the history of the town and explore the quaint shops and restaurants that make up Silverton.
Your day continues when you board the afternoon train back to Durango. The views will be totally unique from your morning trip as you travel 55 miles through the canyons and valleys of beautiful forest. This is one of the only ways to experience the Animas River Canyon.
You will return to the train depot in Durango in plenty of time to enjoy dinner at one our many unique restaurants.
